Daily Poll 509: What do you think of homesteading?
Homesteading used to be the only way to live back in the day now it’s a way for those hardcore about being self sufficient to live. I have come to the realization that homesteading is the only way to become ungovernable. I’ve got a long road ahead of me to build a homestead but I do feel pretty fired up to do it one day. i have started trying to homestead. i still got a long ways to go. the first step was getting property. i just got just under a half acre with 3 fixer upper mobile homes. im doing all the work myself. i have chickens and ducks so i get plenty of eggs .i also got a small rabbitry going so in case of emergency i can butcher the rabbits for meat. will be going hunting soon. im originally from southern cali in san diego. glad i moved or i would of still been in the apartment trap. my goal now is to finish the property then get me more land so i can get cattle and horses. then make my current property a rental property.

Nice man. Good luck. I’m in New York and planning on moving up to the boonies of New Hampshire and doing this. Probably going to have chickens, pigs, goats and cattle along with a greenhouse for my food. Do want to buy a starter home and then land so I can build out at a good pace and then use my starter home as a rental property for stable income.

nice man. do it for sure. the best thing to for me was i am able to work on my own car without people complaining.
