I have always had ideas for creating my own content, but I have no idea where to begin, what to do, or where to go. I have been listening to Eric for a few years now and I believe in his message; there has never been a greater time for people to make their own content. I guess I’m posting this as much for me as for other people.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to even begin?

A bit of vague question, but it really depends on what type of content you are trying to make. You can make videos, you can write, etc. Then you can advertise your content, get funding for bigger projects.

If I can assume you want to make videos similar to Rippa, start a youtube channel, buy a webcam, write something you are passionate about, read it on camera, and put it online.

Well, when you put it like that it seems I’ve just been over complicating this whole thing. I guess I didn’t realize how vague I was being; I wanted other people to feel like they could include their struggles here too. To answer your question, I have ideas for a YouTube like channel as well as ideas for fiction.

Awesome, let us know when you make the channel! First step is always to the hardest, just go for it!

If you’re looking for guidance on writing, the best advice I ever got was: “just write”.

Whatever idea you have, outline it, plot it & just write it straight through. See it to completion, then you can play with it, see what works & what doesn’t.

Start small/simple & get your style down, then you move up to bigger more expansive things.

I’ve heard a similar thing too. I’ve got plenty of outlines, and even a rough draft. My problem is I don’t know where to take it from there. I’ve been getting some recommendations from people on here, so I have, like you said, started small. Thanks for the advice.
