Daily Poll 24: Are bonds good investments?
A lot of different types of bonds exist. A bond being a certificate that you buy that some institution will pay you back the value of the bond plus a certain amount of interest once it matures. The bonds I’m talking about are ones from the federal government of the US. Either issued by the FED or the treasury. These bonds only hold value if you think the Federal government will persist which most people do. But since I’ve became an anarchist I’ve become a lot more hesitant to buy bonds but I do still desire stable long term investments that can payout higher rates than CDs. I know I’m rambling a lot so what do you guys think?
