Daily Poll 749: Is the Internet dead?
The dead internet theory posits that upwards of 90 percent of the internet is just fake content made by bots. It is true that a lot of content online is fake. People lying for clout and state and corporate interests posting ridiculous stuff to manipulate public opinion. I’m not sure if the bot count and fake content is most of the internet though. I would have a little bit more faith in humanity if that were the case as some of the things people post online are the epitome of stupidity. What do you think?
