Face diapers
Posted by patricio-mezcal on January 11, 2022 at 5:39 pmMy fucktarded patient expected me to recognize him when 3/4 of his face is covered… acted all butthurt when I didn’t. I prolly wouldn’t recognize him if he DIDN’T have the diaper! 🤣
Anyone else have similar experiences?

Sounds like it’s testing your… patients.
I’ll see myself out.

In May of 2020 I stopped wearing masks, despite my state’s current mandate to do so in public places. I wasn’t looking for confrontation, just tired of playing the game. I walk into a convenience store to grab a quick bite before work and no sooner do I get in the door a guy completely covered up just starts staring me down. This guy looked exactly like serial killer Riddler from the Batman trailer. Big bandana mask, hat, gloves, dark glasses, no skin showing at all. And it’s May. The whole time I’m walking maskless around the store this guy just keeps staring at me, obviously trying to send me some kind of message passive-aggressively. Even followed me in line to the register but never said anything. I just pretended like nothing was up. I just wanted to get my breakfast sandwich and go to work. What a creep.

My town is full of mask nazis. It’s exhausting. I actually leave my county to go grocery shopping because the local stores won’t let you buy anything without a mask on.

At this point that sounds like straight-up discrimination against anyone who isn’t a crazy leftist or a scared NPC. The only push back I remember having after I quit was in medical offices. Med pros seemed a lot more entitled. But at my local Walmart, forget about it. We have a lot of Mexican and Bhutanese immigrant families that frequent that store. They would come in in large family groups with no masks on anyone. No one said a thing. Probably would be a bad look to start harassing immigrants in front of other customers. And then by default they didn’t harass me.

I’ve seen people wearing two masks. I work in a warehouse and they force us to wear it and it makes it harder for me to breath and it makes my face feel feverish. I constantly get notifications from my job about Covid positive cases probably a few times a week. I live in NY and masks were remandated. I don’t wear them anywhere I go and nobody has said jack, at the grocery store, restaurants and the comic book shop I’ve been to. I’m so tired of the masks at work, it makes me feel awful physically and mentally.

I feel for you, man. I spent my 20’s working in warehouses and if I had to wear a mask back then, especially in summer, I would have died.

Just a thought, are you able to get away with wearing minimally compliant masks at work? I think they are made from thin fabric or cheesecloth.
-
No they don’t allow those kinds and I just use the disposable ones they provide there. Don’t want to bother with keeping a cloth mask clean. Too much of a hassle

I don’t have that luxury. I moved to a town full of well off white leftists, not realizing what I was getting into. I refuse to wear a mask at work. To the point of the office staff threatening to “get nasty” if I don’t start. Funny enough, the rest of the guys out in the shop don’t mask either. Neither does my manager, or the parts clerk. But the office employees come out into the shop when they’re bored to harass us for it. We all agreed we’re not worried about it. Only one of us have had covid, and he came to work covid positive for two days and didn’t spread it. His kid got it from her mask nazi teacher. It’s all horse shit.

to me, masks = demonstration of fear/compliance; I WILL NOT comply
I prefer to keep my mouth closed for the most part when I go into public spaces anyway.
