Get In Your Work Out
Posted by HorrorAmorata on November 17, 2021 at 5:29 pmI’ve long admitted I’m a fat ass, but I’ve been working to change that – should have a new low to celebrate here soon!
I have various health issues but my current practice is intermittent fasting, cardio 3x’s a week with the goal to work into weights as my body tolerates it.
Anyone wanna talk about what they do?

Currently working on rowing 3-5x a times, with a heavy emphasis on protein plus counting calories.
I am so glad you posted this, just got home from work and was debating being a lazy-ass, but nope, off to go row!

Diet is key. Try to reduce if not cut out all sugar.
I workout 6 times a week with 2 cardio sessions and rest is strength training.
Pop a protein shake after every work out and before bed.

Im doing a rotating w/o schedule focused on different muscle groups every day. also dropped all high fructose corn syrup from my diet, dont eat much bread, no candy, if i have beer, i dont have it again for a week. i bought a magnetic white board to put the eating rules on my fridge, which has helped me stick to it. honestly the best dietary change ive made was drinking a bottle of water every time i feel hungry to cut out snacking on junk food. if im still feeling snacky i make popcorn. so far so good. dropped an inch from my waist and gained 1 inch on my bicep circumference. it feels really good to see the weight falling off and the muscle tone start to show through.

Currently I do an upper/lower split and am in the gym 6 days a week with ~120 minutes of cardio. I have a heavy emphasis on calisthenics and weighted calisthenics aside from legs really. If your primary goal for the moment is weight loss, the most important aspect to focus on is your nutrition. There are many ways to achieve this but I’d personally highly recommend finding a few dishes you like that are high in volume but low in calories so to speak with an emphasis on protein. If you have any questions for me personally just let me know.

I went from 176lbs to 127lbs in a year with the help of many, but specifically Eric. I’m 5’6 so 127 isn’t underweight, but I look ripped now. Hoping to put some more muscle on.

I’m currently near the end of my cut. I was going to the gym 2-3 times a week, doing full-body workouts, but then I caught the flu (possibly even the rona), which put me out for 2 weeks and I found it hard to get back on course.
Right now I am building myself back up slowly. Brought a 20Kg (or 44lbs) Kettlebell, which I am having a blast with. My main focus is building the habit of training, One Piece at a time 😉.

That is awesome. Keep at it man, and keep building that capitol. Make those investments now, so it pays off later.

Yesterday I just hit the heavy bag for a little bit. Sunday, did some squats, clean and jerks, hill sprints, jump rope.
Getting back into lifting lately.

Just a little update – in complete honesty, I’ve just reached 369 lbs. I started at 382, and through hard work and perseverance, I’ve gotten down 13 lbs.
Working with my fitness coach has been amazing and helpful. Revamping mindset, working with my physical issues… I know this is just the tip of the ice berg, and the hard work is still ahead, but I will get there – and I won’t put on weight this holiday season!

Honestly I am happy for you. Keep up the hard work and remember we can always improve.

Hey Horror! Have you looked into the carnivore diet as a means of weight loss? If you are curious look up Dr. Shawn Baker (his company is called Revero, check that out as well to see testimonials), Dr. Ken Berry, and Dr. Anthony Chaffee. All carnivores and overall good dudes. Maybe its something you are interested in

I used to take casein until I found out I was really allergic to it. I stick with whey concentrate now. May use vegan protein for a slower digestion.
