I got Guardians on PC and I’ve played about 4 hours. I’ve had fun with it and the characters are well done but I haven’t read the comics so I can’t speak to it being a faithful adaptation just a fun one.

Since you haven’t read the comics what made pull the trigger on it ? I seen some vids on it looks ok but kinda skeptical after avengers

I saw some videos too and it appealed to me. Just a game I decided to give a chance and so far I’m glad. It’s not doing anything new and it’s really linear but the story is done well and it looks fantastic on PC. The gameplay is really fun but damage doesn’t really register as much as it should which lead to some frustrating deaths. You do use a lot of your team’s abilities which can get complicated but it’s fun to try and combo them and it makes it feel more than just a run of the mill third person shooter.

I lost all interest when I heard it was single player only, but got bored one day so decided to give it a try. I’ve completed it and am now in NG+. I play on hard difficulty and the game is still extremely easy. It’s more story focused than anything else but you get dialogue choices and some actually affect the story to a degree. The relationships that all the guardians have with each other is also my favorite part of the whole game! Their constant banter with each other makes them feel like real characters. Also the game has a killer soundtrack as a bonus! A bunch of popular 80s songs
