Probably not true but Isom was part of the Alphacore is a theory of mine or course they could be trying to recruit him too.

I’d get on board with that theory. Old friends/colleagues of his, possibly did some stuff he thought wasn’t right, and disassociated himself from them. A mending of bridges over a new conflict is my theory.

I’m thinking that Isom was responsible for either letting someone innocent die, or directly killing someone that ended up being innocent.

Isom delivered pizza to Alpha Core and it arrived cold. That’s why they have beef.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’d like to see that maybe his mistake was he did something unheroic, like he stole, or did something selfish, and got caught or someone killed. That’s why he hung it up and avoids other heros! Honestly, I’m so excited to find out!

I think he was forced to retire. Maybe they didn’t want the bad press (whatever organization he was with)

Before Isom “hung up his cape”, he had a child who couldn’t say the word “awesome”. This child kept calling him “Isom” instead. After a terrible event which led to Silman losing the child, he began to use the moniker Isom as tribute.

Probably a theory many have said before, but my money is on the Alphacore being excepts that are either mercenaries or are State-sanctioned. To add to that, Isom was working with them, until some terrible event happened, or the Alphacore were pulling some shady crap, and that caused Avery to hang up the cape.

That kind of gives me wolverine origin story vibes. Either way can’t wait to see what it is.

Iso=equal(Greek). He could copy powers or density of objects. This ability could have cause injuries to bystanders. That is why he retired (ex-alphacore). Yaira= to illuminate(Hebrew). She could have light based powers. She is possibly working independently. Alphacore is maybe a government sanctioned superhero group. Doku=poison(Japanese). Dokumaan could be a corrupter of people, influencing them to do his will. Can’t wait to find out.

I’ve been listening to Eric on a number of other streams (as we all do) and he dropped a hint about an untouched source of mythology and lore. I’m thinking African. While I did take a couple of courses on African (not African-American) History in college, I have not studied up on the mythology. I’m sure there’s probably some awesome sources out there outside of just the Egyptians. I would think that would be where we need to look to get some background on Isom.

It’s going to be interesting to see what mythologies he pulls from.

Any ideas on Yaira’s gems, on the back of her hands and on her bicep? I’m going with she draws power from them.

So after reading the book
(rating: 8/10)
Most of the characters actual powers and abilities are really not revealed. Except we know for sure that Isom can’t fly lol. (Anyone who has read the book will get why that’s funny)
There is so much that will need to be revealed but it leaves lots of room for theorizing.

Now that Isom 2 is out. Anyone have further theories into Isom’s powers? We have super strength, a healing factor and maybe some kind of sense of evil or hell origins? And maybe super speed but that could be tied to his super strength.
