Steam Autumn Sale
Posted by joseph-devlin on November 25, 2021 at 1:00 amI usually end up buying a bunch of games that I never get around to playing. I probably have around 200 games in my library but have maybe played 1/4 of those. Anyone have any ideas or know of any hidden gems worth buying during the sale? ARPG, 1st/3rd person shooters, action, or sims like civilization or survival/crafting games.

While I don’t think it’s a hidden gem, I just finished The Ascent and it was amazing in my opinion. I’m also just starting state of decay even though many have told me to stay away we will see if they were right. Any survival games you recommend?

The 1st State of Decay YOSE is good, I have it and State of Decay 2 but I don’t enjoy State of Decay 2. Maybe if i played it longer i would.
Ark: Survival Evolved is good either single player or multi player, i think servers are still going for it. Ark 2 is in the works though.

I’m also looking into Icarus: First Cohort. It’s on sale now but it’s going to be released December 5th.

Ascent was amazing. Very fun action game.
I think it was developed by a 12 man team.
Would love to see a sequel.

I actually might pick it up, I had to refund Icarus: First cohort. The game is poorly optimized. I got a lot during the sale but somehow forgot about it.

Dawn of Man, Ostriv and Timberborn are good survival games that civilization building games that are survival themed. I’m sure if they’re on sale though I’m too busy playing Halo and Shin Megami Tensei V.

Sale’s over, I ended up getting Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition and Icarus 1st Cohort. I put Ostriv, Timberborn, and The Ascent on the Wishlist for the winter sale. Thanks for the suggestions.
