Star Wars: The old Republic came out with a new “expansion” today, and they made changes to the character creator. It’s a Bioware game, and they made Mass Effect, and I kind of felt that the Character creation in Mass Effect: Andromeda was kind weird and leaning toward that way, but still, they didn’t allow facial hair on a female character as an option. With this new expansion for SW:TOR they have allowed it. I attached a photo, not really a peep from the forums crowd. Some say it’s more modern, others say it might be a bug because chiss are allowed facial hair too, and that’s not supposed to be right. No outright objections.

I bought a game last November called Icarus: first cohort, which I returned the day I bought it. Not because of the character creator but because it was unplayable on my rig at the time. On it’s character creation screen, there wasn’t male or female but instead masculine or feminine. Both body types were basically the same, flat chested and broad shoulders, the masculine was just taller. It seemed like they were going for a non binary look.

Anyway, i don’t play that wide of a variety of games, so just wondering if anyone else can chime in and tell me if they have noticed this too. Is this rare, or is it the new normal now and I’ve missed it. Bioware has been on it for over a decade now, so it surprise me so much. I wonder if they thought this would help save their dying MMO though

I don’t play too many games with character creators these days. Woke nonsense has been going on in games for years now. It’s not just character creators it’s the censorship of content that’s deemed offensive by twitter psychos and the CCP.

Not gonna lie, I got a good laugh out of building a female character with a big ol penis in cyberpunk before it glitched itself to death and tried to overheat my ps4. It’s interesting how shapely female bodies are being phased out of gaming as a character choice. Don’t they deserve representation too?

That’s the weirdest part about it, they want to be inclusive and want equal representation, but if it’s pleasing to straight males, then nope. The female character in that Icarus game literally looks built like a 12 year old boy.

It’s pretty much the new norm. You don’t have to look like a super hero to be a super hero anymore. Women can fight men in fantasy. Women are being replaced in games and in sports.

A loud minority fully support their own demise. The silent majority are too afraid to speak out, just look to what’s happening with Lia Thomas. His teammates only want to speak out anonymously.

This has definitely become the new norm for pretty much any game featuring character creation/customization on any level. It’s unfortunate but it’s almost inescapable at this point. I reserve myself to mock and make fun of weirdos who make their characters look like something out of the circus lol
