and to add to your point Aris, the whole hyper focus on climate has detracted from actual environmental concerns like shifting water resources, pollinator population collapse, over fishing, soil degradation etc.
all of these issues have viable real world solutions, unlike climate change which, at best, is ambiguous news-speak

I take a rather scientific approach: energy can neither be created nor destroyed. We are highly organized energy. At the very least that energy returns to the cosmological energy pool and recycles through again. Having lost my first wife and dealing with her loss thru our spiritual beliefs I have come to the conclusion that there is most certainly an ‘afterlife’ of some kind.

Not at all, since about 7 months ago. Prior I was a bit of boozer most of my life. Started to see some serious health effects from it. Stopping has improved my health significantly.

The institutional version of marriage is a simply a legal contract. I have never seen the need to have the law involved in my love life. That being said, ‘marriage’ is essential to the continuation of species and forms the foundation for the future of each successive generation. Family is a fundamental pillar of human life. (I define marriage as pair bonding)

Like is a Gamble. I look at every thing as risk reward. Lottery and Casinos are rigged for sure but a good poker game will get me. I use to play the slots to kill time when I first moved to Oregon but that got old really quickly LOL. I keep my gambling to crypto these days.
